About

In November 2019, the first ever AI Week took place at Tel Aviv University, welcoming over 3,000 attendees to a week filled with workshops and lectures.

AI Week is hosted by the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC) and The Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security at Tel Aviv University.

Professor Isaac Ben Israel, Head of the ICRC & Yuval Nee’man Workshop, and Dr. Eviatar Matania (former head of the Israel National Cyber Directorate, Prime Minister’s Office), have spent the last two years leading a national AI initiative. After extensively consulting experts in various fields, Dr. Matania and Prof. Ben Israel’s compiled The National Initiative for Secured Intelligent Systems to Empower the National Security and Techno-Scientific Resilience: A National Strategy for Israel. Special Report for the Prime Minister.

The Blavatnik ICRC and the Yuval Ne’eman Workshop are proud to have supported such an exciting venture and to have been able to make such an important impact towards Israel’s AI ecosystem. We look forward to welcoming audiences from all over the world for a chance to further enhance and bring together our AI community at AI Week Online.

Prime Minister Netanyahu kindly sent his warm greetings to all AI Week 2021 attendees. You are invited to read his message here.
